Presenting our new ‘Aromatherapy for Birthworkers’ online training with our wonderful Aromatherapist Daisy Hart, ‘Essentially Daisy’. Daisy offers her skills to share on this 2 hour workshop which covers pregnancy, birth and postpartum used of essential oils. The workshop is online and includes an ebook and a set of oils delivered to your door. This workshop enables you to start using aromatherapy in your practice and offers a CPD certificate on completion. This is the original Conscious Birthing Doula Training Course and is founded on many years of learning and experience within the field, allowing us to share what we have learnt and continue to learn along the path of this truly unique vocation.

We discuss a myriad of potential birth experiences and outcomes.
We include physiological homebirt and birth without attending midwives through to the use of birthing centres and hospital.
We explore all the tools for self-reliance, comfort measures and partner support, through to the pros and cons of each pain medication.
We explore more medicalised procedures which can arise during labour and consider ways to help prevent unwanted interventions. We spend time coming into awareness about our own judgements and biases and to consider how best to retain compassionate care as the focus of our practice. This includes elements of self-care, as well as discussions about working with health care providers.

Learn the foundations of Homeopathy with Zoe Scanlan online and discover how you might support your clients who are choosing to use this amazingly powerful natural medicine. This 2 hour course includes the basics, late pregnancy use, using the childbirth kit, taking remedies during labour and homeopathy for new mothers and parents too. Our Deep Dive Doula 13 week online programme offers a thorough and paced exploration into the role of Birth and Postnatal Doula, alongside adding some TIDE elements to your Doula bag.
This option offers a unique opportunity to join a circle of fledgling Doulas on a deep exploration, from the comfort of your own home, set at times which suit most people, usually over weekends.

At Conscious Birthing we are passionate about supporting the tender early weeks of new parenthood. 
Mothers-to-be and partners often prepare in great depth and detail for labour and birth, only to be shocked by the realities of early parenting and the huge transitions which occur. There is a deep cultural and societal pressure to get back to ‘normal’, in which women and birthing people are conditioned to pride themselves on the speed of recovery of both their figures and of getting back out into the world. We offer a deep immersion into the underbelly of this process and explore the impacts of what we carry within the maternal line, our own stories of postpartum and how best we can support those experiencing the postnatal transition. This course invites us to step into a full and rich exploration of all things Postnatal and to begin to reclaim our service to this tender and life-changing time.

Practice self-care at our affordable luxury residential retreats. Our residential Doula retreats are educational and nourishing, with each day carefully planned to intersperse our Birth, Postnatal and TIDE relevant sessions with restful and re-energising time. We invite you to learn deeply, sit by the fire, have fun around the kitchen table and more. We ensure that there’s lots of quiet time to reflect and begin to vision in your practice too. This course, as all our Doula courses, is accredited with Doula UK and has a small piece of reflective pre/coursework and 3 short post course questions to respond to. This can be done via the written word, art work or WhatsApp voice notes, videos and more!

Our TIDE (Trauma Informed Doula Education) Course is a unique foundation Birth and Postnatal Doula Training, which includes all of the usual modules of our Doula Course curriculum. TIDE extends from there to cover working with women and birthing people in disadvantage, using a Trauma Informed Toolkit.

This Course enables you to join Doula UK. Some choose this course as they’re keen to apply for volunteering with Doulas Without Borders (DWB), but it’s not a prerequisite.

Welcome to our 2 day Trauma Informed and Responsive online workshop, CPD certification included. This workshop is for anyone who’s working within the field of maternal care, from Midwives to Birthkeepers, Doulas and those preparing to train, Obstetricians and more. We consider the connection between the neurobiology of trauma and its potential impacts on physiological birth. We explore how our own trauma responses can affect the birthing woman and person. We discuss how the epigenetic factors of trauma response can help further a traumatised society or begin to bring positive change. 10.30am to 5pm for both Saturdays.
This special workshop was originally accredited with the Royal College of Midwifery and continues to grow in popularity, as our society’s awareness of trauma increases. The 2 day workshop is offered over 2 consecutive weekend days, to encourage time for digesting and reflecting. This workshop is accredited as a CPD with Doula U.K. and is certificated.

TIDE inclusive, 6 week brilliant basic online doula course.
We recognise that for some of you, it works well to attend a more basic foundation course, in its essence. We also recognise that sometimes finances are what holds you back from achieving your dream. Lastly, we’re aware that working from home suits many of us, so we offer you this programme as a shorter, live, cheaper online weekly class.

We cover the full curriculum of how best to support our clients to make informed choices within a challenged and challenging environment, supporting physiological birth to medicalised outcomes, interventions (and ways we can support our clients to avoid them) induction, postpartum support and infant feeding and more. We signpost you to further training, research, reading and there’s a little coursework each week. This course is also accredited with Doula U.K.
