Earth Path Sacred Drumming and Ceremony Birthkeeper training
Earth Path Sacred Drumming and Ceremony Birthkeeper training is a course which guides you in supporting your birthing family clients in a deeper way. Drawing upon the shamanic gifts within and the gifts of Mother Earth through ceremony, shamanic journeying, energy work and grounding ritual.
As a Doula, you are a gatekeeper, a space holder. The Birthkeeping path opens you up to more than the physical nature of birth. You will be writing with your clients in supporting them through their birth as a rite of passage.
This course aims to help you feel into space holding in a deeper way, seeing and sensing beyond the physical, whilst keeping your feet firmly on the Earth.
There are guest speakers each year.
Eva Greenslade is a tutor with the college of sound healing, a doula, a mother of 4 and a pagan celebrant. Eva uses shamanic practices within her own work as a doula.

Earthpath Birthkeeper Training
Weekend 1: Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th March
Self connection
Introductions, Sacred Space, Your spirituality, Your inner self-drum journey, Connection to within and around, Self Care practices and understanding, Augmenting connections with the drum, The Universal four sacred directions and elements.
Setting sacred space and creating Altars, the wheel of the year and the wheel for birth, developing your connection to deities, ancestors and spirit animal allies.
Weekend 2: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May
Antenatal Support and Birth Preparation
Energy body of pregnancy, Baby’s soul, Feeling and Seeing energy, use of Pendulum, Drum Healing, Drum journeys for Birthing parent and baby, Gifts from the middle world, Directions, Elements, Energy sensing with Drum.
Weekend 3: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July
Birth is a Ceremony
Birth as a rite of passage, Setting up and Protecting Birth space, Honouring Spirits of Space, Water Blessing, Mother Blessing Ceremony, Energy of Birth, Drumming through Birth, Working in Hospital and Home as a Space holder, Working alongside Healthcare Professionals, Calling in Baby’s Spirit.
Weekend 4: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October
Postnatal Support and Ceremony
Energy of Postpartum, Relationship of Mother and Baby, Grounding Ceremony, Placenta Burial, Breastmilk Rituals, Blood Rituals, Boundaries with clients.
Weekend 5: Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November
Death, Loss, Grief, Ceremonies and Assessments
Baby Loss, Grief, Ceremonies to Support, Legal Framework. Rite of Passage Ceremony for Student Completion (fire walk or sweat lodge for example).
Coursework:
Case Studies, Non-Academic Essays, Self-Reflections.
Venue: Laughton Lodge, Sussex
Cost: £1500 (Payment by 5 instalments offered) and £1250 Doula UK members.
